Join us on the third Thursday of each month for Fiction with Feeling! Romance, Humor, Historical Fiction, Mystery...Positive reads that will leave you connected, encouraged, inspired, and entertained!

For September we're reading author Lynette Eason's book When the Smoke Clears. Filled with suspense and romantic tension, it's the first book in her Deadly Reunions Series.  

After a brush with death due to equipment failure, smokejumper Alexia Allen returns home to recuperate while the incident is under investigation. There she must face her past, only to find a long-buried secret that threatens her life. Add the elements of murder, arson, and a handsome detective, and it's sure to be a great read!

About the branch

*Originally opened in 1932 and designated as Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library’s main branch, EVPL Central is located at 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. With 145,000 square feet, the building contains areas for kids and teens, Maker Central, Education Central, Business Central, study rooms, and the Indiana Room, a special collection of materials that focus on local and regional history. Available for public use, EVPL Central also features the Browning Rooms, a conference room, and a large group room.
