On April 8 the Evansville region will experience an event that won’t happen again for another 400 years. A total solar eclipse will cause us to be in complete darkness for 3 minutes and 3 seconds in the middle of the day. Join our area’s NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador and ASP/NSF Eclipse Star Educator Mandy Scurry to learn about eclipse science, culture, history and art while collecting ways to make the most of this remarkable event happening in our own backyards. Â
Opened in the spring of 2003, EVPL Oaklyn is located on the corner of Oak Hill and Lynch Roads at 3001 Oaklyn Drive. Featuring a green roof that helps regulate the temperature of the building and provides a valuable space for a meadow, the building itself has received national attention and won multiple design awards. EVPL Oaklyn boasts open spaces, study rooms, public access computers, and a popular meeting room.
