SPEAK 2025- Ralph Shayne

EVPL, CYPRESS, and The Rechnic Foundation present this FREE event with Ralph Shayne, author of "Hour of Need," a graphic novel that acknowledges the heroes who saved Danish Jews during the Holocaust.

Ralph Shayne's graphic novel, Hour of Need, pays tribute to the heroes who saved the Danish Jews during the Holocaust, and reminds readers of how humanity can triumph in the darkest hours. Ralph will discuss his story at this FREE event at Victory Theatre on April 16.

Thanks to the generosity of the EVPL Foundation, The Committee to Promote Respect in Schools (CYPRESS), and The Rechnic Foundation,  this event is FREE and open to all. 

The Committee to Promote Respect in Schools (CYPRESS) was founded in Evansville, IN in 1999, and since its inception, its mission has been to build respect and appreciation for diversity in our school and our community. The committee is comprised of current and retired educators and community volunteers. 

The Rechnic Foundation is in memory of Edward, Regina and Irene Rechnic, Holocaust survivors.
