CYPRESS and EVPL present a talk by Arwen Donahue, author and illustrator, as she speaks about her book, This Is Home Now, which explores her interviews with Kentucky’s Holocaust survivors.
The talk includes Rebecca Howell’s portraits of the survivors and audio excerpts from the interviews.

Arwen Donahue is a writer, artist, oral historian, and farmer. Her illustrated memoir Landings chronicles a year on her family’s farm, exploring the conflicts and symbioses between art and land stewardship. Her graphic stories have appeared in The Field Guide to Graphic Literature, Literary Hub, Electric Literature, The Nib, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. She has been awarded fellowships and residencies from Yaddo, MacDowell, the Center for Cartoon Studies, the Kentucky Arts Council, the Sustainable Arts Foundation, the Xeric Foundation, and the Kentucky Foundation for Women, among others. Arwen lives on a farm in Nicholas County, Kentucky, where her family has raised produce for local markets for over 20 years.
