In recognition of African American History Month, Jill Kinkade and Laura Soderberg, from the University of Southern Indiana will present “The Quilts of Gee’s Bend”.
Gee's Bend is a small, remote, black community in Alabama, and the women of Gee's Bend are renowned quilters dating back to the early 20th century. The presentation will cover the history of the town, the quilts, and the women who contributed to African American art.

EVPL Red Bank Express is located at 4905 University Drive, in the property adjacent to the former EVPL Red Bank. This building was most recently a Liberty Federal Credit Union branch.
The temporary space will offer library services and resources while a new EVPL Red Bank is constructed, including books and materials for all ages, public computer access, print/copy/fax/scan services, material return, EVPL To Go, and pick-up opportunities for items requested from other EVPL locations. The location does not offer meeting or study spaces.
