In recognition of African American History Month, Jill Kinkade and Laura Soderberg, from the University of Southern Indiana will present “The Quilts of Gee’s Bend”.
Gee's Bend is a small, remote, black community in Alabama, and the women of Gee's Bend are renowned quilters dating back to the early 20th century. The presentation will cover the history of the town, the quilts, and the women who contributed to African American art.

Opened in September of 1991, EVPL Red Bank is located just off the Lloyd Expressway at 120 S. Red Bank Rd. Renovated in 2006, EVPL Red Bank boasts a large meeting room, public access computers, as well as study rooms that are available to the public.
