Women's fiction is a genre that can best be defined as one that describes the woman's journey, and expresses what it means to the author to be a woman. Women's fiction includes stories from around the world, written by authors of many races, colors, and creeds. While at times it may include stories of relationships and domestic interactions, it should not be confused with romance.

Our October selection will be the testament to frailty, resistance, and survival: The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah.

Alaska, 1974.
Unpredictable. Unforgiving. Untamed.
For a family in crisis, the ultimate test of survival.

Good Reads says "The Great Alone is a daring, beautiful, stay-up-all-night story about love and loss, the fight for survival, and the wildness that lives in both man and nature."
