A presentation by Mike Linderman, Site Director of Angel Mounds
Located on the banks of the Ohio River in southwest Indiana, Angel Mounds State Historic Site is one of the best-preserved, pre-contact Native American sites in North America. Built between A.D. 1000 and 1450, the town was occupied by more than 1,000 people who were part of the Mississippian culture, and included earthen mounds built to elevate important buildings. Learn about the importance of this site from Mike Linderman, Site Director.
Opened in the spring of 2003, EVPL Oaklyn is located on the corner of Oak Hill and Lynch Roads at 3001 Oaklyn Drive. Featuring a green roof that helps regulate the temperature of the building and provides a valuable space for a meadow, the building itself has received national attention and won multiple design awards. EVPL Oaklyn boasts open spaces, study rooms, public access computers, and a popular meeting room.
