Meet therapy pig Teddy! Book a 15 minute session for one-on-one reading time with Teddy at EVPL North Park.

Research shows that therapy animals can help to reduce anxiety as well as improve focus and attention span. Therapy animals serve as a calm presence and allow children to work to improve literacy, comprehension, and communication with a nonjudgmental listener.

Teddy is a certified therapy pig that wants to support your child at EVPL North Park. Register for a 15 minute time slots on evpl.org or call ahead at +812-428-8237.

Does your child require special accommodations, such as extended time for transitions, sensory needs, or communication needs? If so, please call ahead to see what we can provide!

About the branch

Opened in April of 2005, EVPL North Park is located on 960 Koehler Dr. and was constructed in a manner that resembles great lodges found in National Parks. With both children’s and adult’s towers, EVPL North Park boasts a ceiling high stone fireplace, an enclosed outdoor patio, public access computers, and public meeting and study room areas.
