Join our area’s NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Mandy Scurry to learn about eclipse science, culture, history and art.
On April 8 the Evansville region will experience an event that won’t happen again for another 400 years. A total solar eclipse will cause us to be in complete darkness for 3 minutes and 3 seconds in the middle of the day. Join our area’s NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Mandy Scurry to learn about eclipse science, culture, history and art while collecting ways to make the most of this remarkable event happening in our own backyards.
Mandy Scurry, M.S. has decades of experience sharing her love of space science with young and old alike. With a master of science in space studies and a bachelor of arts in communication and an infectious enthusiasm, she is uniquely skilled in presenting big concepts in fun, engaging and understandable ways. The NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador program is a network of more that a thousand volunteers worldwide.
